A few years ago, I was contacted by a reader who lamented that “none of the games you talk about on the blog are found in the UK.” I pointed out that there are several distributors that cover the UK and other parts of Europe and beyond, that the only thing holding anyone back from grabbing those games would be the interests and budgets of various locations – but that the games were indeed available.

As manufacturers slowly get back into the swing of things now, different distributors are starting to promote some upcoming games, often taking the initiative before the manufacturers themselves even list these games on the website. Recently, Bandai Namco Amusements Europe has been busy in this regard, promoting King Kong of Skull Island VR, and today, they’ve unveiled a new game from Adrenaline Amusements called Zombie Smasher.

Adrenaline is one company that has been pretty quiet since the pandemic slammed the brakes on the industry, with this marking their first game release since Hot Wheels. BNAE has posted the video below, as they handle the distribution of Adrenaline product in Europe, EMAE and India.

Zombie Smasher re-uses the same cabinet as with their Blox Breaker videmption piece, changing out the software with what you saw in the trailer. Whether or not this game will be available as an upgrade kit for BBs remains to be seen, but it would make sense. The game is capable of tracking two players per cabinet, which is a nice feature given that it’s a pretty big game.

While I assume that this is a videmption game, Adrenaline has told me before that they can make any of their games operate as Amusement-only pieces, in the event that the venue can’t do tickets.

BNAE are the only ones to mention the game so far, putting this video out before Adrenaline themselves have even posted a listing of the game to their website. I’m sure that will change soon, as I would assume that this video means that the game is already in production.

What do you think about this from the trailer?
