It’s been 20 months since Jersey Jack Pinball last released a new game, and the drought has come to an end with the announcement of their latest release, Toy Story 4. Toy Story as a theme has long been a part of the rumor mill in terms of what JJP was working on and the email that they sent out today throws in the surprising caveat that it’s about the 4th movie instead of the entire franchise up to this point. The email also states that the game is shipping now, so those who pre-ordered the game, without knowing what it was, should be receiving said orders fairly soon.

The game design was led by Pat Lawlor, whose career in pinball needs no introduction; This is the 3rd title he has produced while at JJP. As of the moment, the game is only available in two models – the Collector’s Edition (CE) at an MSRP of $15,000USD and a Limited Edition (LE) at an MSRP of $12,000. There is no mention of a lower priced standard model at the moment but according to a recent post on JJP’s Facebook page, the CE’s were almost sold out already so it might be that the LE’s are serving as the “Standard” here.

Here’s the promo video, with some great production value (as they did with GnR). The Duke Kaboom ramp shot looks pretty cool:

My assumption in looking at the  playfields here is that they decided to focus on a single film instead of all four so as to keep the design more focused. I also imagine that they saved the release until now to piggyback on the hype behind the upcoming Lightyear film.

Here’s the press release with more details:
