We’ve been getting bits and pieces of news about the sequel to Bandai Namco’s Dead Heat thanks to the location test but with IAAPA starting on Tuesday, the company has pulled the curtain back on the game by giving it official listings on both the American and EU websites. Thanks to that, we have this official cabinet render (still not final-final, as you’ll notice there are no foot pedals):

From the US website:

The sequel to the 2010 arcade hit, “Dead Heat Unleashed” is an intense new racing game with four new courses, new cars, and an attractive LED lit cabinet that responds to the game, changing lighting patterns during gameplay. Link up to four cabinets to challenge players head-to-head in tight races that are sure to be a dead heat every time! Players charge their ULTIMATE HEAT gauge through aggressive racing and crowding their rivals.

Once they unleash their ULTIMATE HEAT, players can blast ahead of the competition and propel towards the finish line. Like its predecessor, “Dead Heat Unleashed” features a camera above the screen that allows the player to take a photo before the race. This helps players quickly identify their competition and know exactly who they are battling with for the first-place title.

I did share the list of cars on a recent video discussing racers at IAAPA but since that was never put in writing, here’s what I received from BNA as to what those ten cars are:

Some time this week I will be sure to share some 4K video of the game as seen at the show and will grab any other pertinent details (release date…although with it being listed, it’s possible that it is going to be shipping this month).

BTW, stay tuned for another piece of news on a new racing game from a different company, posting here within the hour!
